“Good,” he smiled. ”I’d be worried if you did, I think.”
“Likewise,” she nodded with a soft laugh.
“Well, I don’t,” he assured her.
“I know,” she smiled, kissing his shoulder before she relaxed, just content to lay there with him. She didn’t think there would ever be a time where she wouldn’t be glad at the end of the day to have him, even after their lowest moments.
She laughed. “No, of course. I’d never,” she shook her head. “I’d never want to be that type of parent either.”
“Good,” he smiled. ”I’d be worried if you did, I think.”
“Likewise,” she nodded with a soft laugh.
“It would be nice,” he nodded. ”Though it would have to be infrequently enough that our kids don’t feel like we’re foisting them on other people, or other people don’t feel like that.”
She laughed. “No, of course. I’d never,” she shook her head. “I’d never want to be that type of parent either.”
“And you, Mrs Corner, are mine,” he smiled.
She smiled. “You’re mine as well, Mr Corner,” she kissed his cheek and sighed out. “Maybe we should try to make it a point to do this every so often. Have a day just for us.”
“Should have figured it out when she went for Hastings.”
“Ugh, what’s the allure?” she shook her head.
He shrugged. ”No idea.”
“I guess to each their own,” she replied, rubbing Liam’s chest.
“Because she’s crazy.”
She laughed. “It took you way too long to figure that out back then.”
“Should have figured it out when she went for Hastings.”
“Ugh, what’s the allure?” she shook her head.
He laughed suddenly. ”No way in hell,” he shook his head. “Not a chance.”
She laughed. “Awww, why not?” she teased.
“Because she’s crazy.”
She laughed. “It took you way too long to figure that out back then.”
She grinned and sighed, shifting to bury her face in the crook of his neck, wrapping her arm around him and closing her eyes. “Imagine if you’d married Antoinette,” she teased.
He laughed suddenly. ”No way in hell,” he shook his head. “Not a chance.”
She laughed. “Awww, why not?” she teased.
“Me too,” he said softly.
“Really showed everyone who thought we were stupid kids.”
He smiled, laughing lightly. ”That’s definitely true.”
She grinned and sighed, shifting to bury her face in the crook of his neck, wrapping her arm around him and closing her eyes. “Imagine if you’d married Antoinette,” she teased.
“Me too,” he said softly.
“Really showed everyone who thought we were stupid kids.”
